I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory today with my mom, who loves Johnny so much she'd watch him sleep for 2 hours. I had never seen the other version so it was all new to me. I have to say it was a bizarre story but that's what one must expect from Roald Dahl stories and especially one handled by Tim Burton. Johnny reminded me of Michael Jackson for some reason... well several, the way he talked and his hair and his clothes... you get the idea. He did a fabulous job with it! The others were great too. While it won't be a favorite of mine, I am glad I saw it.
