Reading Wednesday

I have not read a ton these last few years. I will blame Facebook, Discord and Tumblr, but it's mostly me. I simply don't seem to be able to read a lot and write a lot, too, so I choose to write. I am sure most folks would be shocked that I seldom read much fanfic.

Since I've let this type of posting go for such a long time, I can orobably say the same things I've said before.

Right now I am reading The Alexander Cipher by Will Adams. The protagonist seems a bit like Indiana Jones and that works for me. Not too far into it yet - there are several story threads and I'm hoping he ties them together well. I'll let you know.

I love cozy mysteries and real suspense thrillers as well. What do y'all like to read?

Reading is a habit I've lost? But. I am gamely going to try this year.

I prefer science-fiction, science-fantasy, and fantasy for my reading. And inspired-by-history fiction.

I admit it, I should read more fanfic. Even most of the stuff I put up weekly are from friends and I don't read them all or even half.

I read a lot however. Mysteries, SF/F, urban fantasy and horror mostly and a lot of comic books/manga

I go in stages. I love a good romance. Tolkien's works, but not other fantasy, I don't know why. Medieval European history. I enjoy reading about the Plantagenets and all the characters in their sphere. Holy Grail lore and Medieval lit, but it's been a while since I've picked up any. And of course fanfics.

I always have a book on my phone - I read through a LOT of books in a year. I don't read (or write anymore) a lot of fan-fiction. I guess I've fallen away from that for a while, and that's OK.

That book sounds interesting, especially because I love Indiana Jones! I like reading romance, historical fiction, and scifi. But I'm hoping to broaden my horizons this year.
