Day 6 - Random Love Month - Chocolate
I have a serious love for most things chocolate. Candy, cake, cocoa, chocolate milk...
There is nothing quite as wonderful as chocolate to make me happy. Not a lot to say about it. I prefer milk chocolate. I like American chocolate the best, I like tiny marshmallows in my cocoa. I like my candy with nuts. I like bonbons with cream filling - orange and and almonds are good!

One of my favorite Valentine memories is my daddy giving me a box of chocolates on Valentine's Day. I suspect that Mama bought it but that didn't matter!

Chocolate poundcake is also a favorite. Don't tell Larry but his grandmomther's recipe is under the cut -
3 sticks margarine
5 eggs
½ t. baking powder
½ t. salt
4 T. cocoa (Use dark cocoa - it's yummy)
1t. vanilla
3 c. sugar
3 c. plain flour
1 c. milk
Cream sugar and softened butter together. Add eggs one at a time. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Mix. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
